What is unraveling in Britain as a conspiracy deeper and more sinister than Watergate should be a clarion call to America. The media IS the message. Politicians learned years ago to fear Rupert Murdoch, plainly due to the simple, easily understandable reality that he can get them elected of see that they fail. Period. Let me restate: Control of the media is control of the message. It is no longer the plot of a criminal suspense thriller. It is real. It is happening now. Right now. Tonight, or as you read this.

Rupert Murdoch bought politicians. He bought them with their election wins. With this power they influenced the direction of the very legislation meant to constrain their capacity for evil. When their tactics were discovered they paid millions for promises of silence from their victims. When the police became suspicious they bought them too…including the Chief of Scotland Yard. SCOTLAND YARD!!

What could possibly be worse than that? How about if the Prime Minister of the whole country appointed that self-same media companies editor to a Directorship.

Think it can’t get any more “unrealistic” How about the sudden “unexplained” death of the original whistleblower. I’m NOT making this up! This is what is going on RIGHT NOW!

A “1^st World” Industrialized Democracy is about to find out that the votes they have been casting, the self-determinism that makes a government of political pluralism, are votes informed by a corrupt self-serving corporation.

Do you think that the court which overturned years of precedent by inviting giant MULTINATIONAL Corporations to contribute UNLIMITED resources toward the candidates who holds their interests as compensation will think twice about overturning Obama if he uses the 4^th Amendment?

If shutting down the government is a “victory” to run a presidential campaign on (see Pawlenty). Why should you feel comfortable they will raise the debt ceiling if we are not screaming at the top of our lungs?

After that one would think any compassionate human being would expect the vote for the CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT to fail…see for yourself:

On Monday, February 14, 2011 I posted this rant. I later had the rare pleasure of going back and updating it because I was so amazed that Boehner and Cantor could actually lose in a situation pitting common-sense and good governance against the corporate greed that spawned them. I was so shocked I even Tweeted (which is rare for me)

Today as I made my way through my dilapidated kitchen cooking breakfast for my wife and three children, NPR reports not only was the purchase brought back to life: “In a 54-5 roll call vote, the committee approved an amendment to require the defense secretary to support further work on the F-35’s so-called alternate engine, if such activities are funded by the contractor.”

Ok, here’s a quick test to see whether you should keep reading this: In your experience does the following quote from the same article sound reasonable:  “The second engine, which the Pentagon canceled last month, is being developed by General Electric and Rolls Royce. General Electric recently announced it will spend its own money to keep developing the engine in fiscal 2012.”

From the New York Times: “Its American tax bill? None. In fact, G.E. claimed a tax benefit of $3.2 billion.”

 From the Wall Street Journal: “General Electric Co. and its chief executive, Jeffrey Immelt, understandably are under fire for the revelation that the company didn’t pay any federal income taxes in 2010—and got a tax credit of more than $3 billion.”

Please, I know you’re busy but it’s really not hard. Rep. Robert Andrews of NJ put it forward. If everyone who reads this asks him to guarantee via a press conference that

“AT NO POINT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL OUR GOVERNMENT, IN NO WAY OF ANYKIND, WHETHER DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY (CALLING IT SPENDING OR CALLING IT ANYTHING ELSE) CONTRIBUTE TO THE FUNDING THAT WAS CANCELED BY A LEGAL VOTE”

And if everyone retweets or forwards to e-mail networks and all of those folks do the same, we can get him on record and end his corrupt career in politics for good.
